Product Description
What is hell like, and how does one avoid an eternity of torment? Bill Wiese shares his unforgettable experience during which God allowed him to see and feel the agony people endure in hell.

Wiese's visit to the devil's lair lasted just twenty-three minutes, but he returned from this with vivid details etched in his memory. He records an accurate account of his experience in this book, presenting more than three hundred scriptures that verify the horrors he endured and observed.

4 out of 5 stars 23 Minutes in Hell   November 11, 2008
Although extremely controversial to anyone who does not take the Bible literally, this book will give the reader a BIBLICAL perspective of the terror and utter hopelessness of what awaits those who fail to believe and act upon the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the Scriptures.

The subject of hell is not something that should be taken lightly or casually - and so this book is not what I would call 'light reading'.

I do believe that this book can be a definite tool, that when used properly, will raise the awareness of those who do not believe that hell is a 'real' place - and that there is no escape from it - ever - for the lost.

Filled with scriptures to back up everything the writer experienced, it defines the very principals of heaven and hell and what awaits those who fail to believe and act upon the Biblical principals set forth in the scriptures.

Definitely worth reading.

1 out of 5 stars WARNING!! Not a NDE BOOK!! - Undeniably just a Nightmare   November 10, 2008

23 Minutes in Hell - Book Review

First of all, this is NOT a NDE book. This is a nightmare book. I read dozens and dozens of NDE books. I've read literally hundreds, and probably over 1,000 accounts of the afterlife. It is spooky how much they are all in agreement with each other, and how easily it's seen that it would be impossible for any kind of collaboration to be going on describing the afterlife. Anyways, with great joy I picked up this book, because I'm just intrigued by this type of stuff. (We're all going to die eh?) However, this one is quite different. I find it so interesting that with all of the books from beyond the veil, all people, regardless of religious upbringing, seem to abandon much of what is taught traditionally, for a entirely different view of the next world to come. Except this book, because it does nothing of that, but just rehashes what is traditionally taught. And that's just what is so odd - it aligns with "fundamental christian" traditional teachings - but that's what is so intriguing about reading NDE books, they are more often that not showing how the traditional views of heaven and hell are just not accurate.

It's undeniably a collaboration, between the author, the author's imagination, and the author's upbringing in one of the most disconnected "fundamental" run of the mill, classic "fire and brimstone" churches around. If you sat in one of those (and I have) fire and brimstone churches and have them rant on about how bad hell is going to be for sinners your whole life, like the author did, you could put it all together, and that's what the author did. If you go find every single biblical reference of hell, you would have this book.

"This beast looked like it was about... 13 feet high" Whoh, then the next scripture quoted talked about some hellish beast that in today's measurements was about... 13 feet high!!! Whoh, what a coincident!! I hope you can read the sarcasm here. Who look at something and says, "humm, that looks about 13 feet high" This is undoubtedly a collaboration of some kind between some kind of run of the mill preachin' "fire & brimstone" church. If you took every biblical scripture of hell, and every quote from the Colonial American period styled preacher of the 1800's, and put it all together, you would have this book.

This leaves you rolling your eyes, and shaking your head when you read such comments like: "I never wanted to go to hell, I don't even like it when it's hot outside!"

And When he meets "Jesus" it contradicts every single account of every single NDE book I've read. Regardless of denomination, when they meet Jesus, they get the message that it's all really about love, and everything else will be taken care of and love is the real hurdle. However this guy, Jesus says nothing of that, but thence teaches that the way to heaven is.... tada - exactly what this one guy's church teaches. Now you have to think, are those other CREDIBLE (certified medical death, etc) hundred accounts incorrect, and this lone guy who was admittedly just sleeping have a nightmare?

So there are so many things about this do not match up with the story itself and do not match up with all of the other countless afterworld experiences, I don't doubt this guy had a nightmare, but that's all it was. Did he have a out of body experience? No. Did he really visit hell in his mind? Sure. The traditional hell he's been taught. I don't doubt there is a heaven and hell, but this buy did not visit it, he did visit a place in his mind, that was created by his mind.

Go read anything else.

5 out of 5 stars MUST READ   October 30, 2008
It takes courage to tell this story. He tells it well. A very important message and completely backed by the Scriptures. I believe him, and shudder for those who don't. The cost paid to go to heaven was enormous. A death on a cross. There is no need for anyone to go to hell. Just believe Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and confess Him as Lord. He made it that simple so we could all go to heaven. Simple enough for a child.

Read this book with an open mind. It needs to be read slowly (not at one sitting). I enjoyed it very much!

1 out of 5 stars FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST---PLEASE DO NOT BUY OR READ THIS BOOK!!!   October 9, 2008

Please do not buy this book! I don't know how to emplore you any stronger! I visited this man's website and was DEEPLY disturbed within my spirit. We are not to add to or take away from the scriptures and he does EXACTLY that here in this book and on his site! All that we need to know about hell God has told us in the Bible. It is the Bible that we are to turn to for the truth--not those claiming to have had special dreams or visions. This self-proclaimed prophet delves into mysticism and spiritualism. THIS IS NOT FOR TRUE FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST! TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST GO TO THE BIBLE FOR TRUTH AND DIRECTION! Please do not allow your ears to be tickled and your heart to be deceptively swayed. Instead, spend your reading time with the true, unadultered word of God. If what he shares is true--does it do ANYTHING to help you? No! But, if what he says is false you are gravely hurt by having this deception within you--especially if you recommend it to others or even share it with others. You will be responsible for spreading false prophecy in the name of Jesus when He returns!!! Please, don't read this book!!
